Health Services Academy and Former PM AJK Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Join Hands for a Mega Public Health Initiative

Islamabad (Asghar Hayat) In a significant development for public health, the Health Services Academy in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, welcomed the esteemed President Istekham-E-Pakistan Party Azad Kashmir and former Prime Minister, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan. The visit marked a turning point in collaborative efforts towards a mega public health project at the international level.

Accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including Chief Technical Advisor and Executive Director of Health for the Sardar Group of Companies, Dr. Sardar Mahmood Khan, the former Political Advisor Sardar Iftikhar Rashid, and retired Col Ijaz Ahmed (Senior Staff Officer), the visit showcased a shared commitment to advancing public health initiatives.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan, along with Deputy Director Dr. Aisha Yousafzai and University Advisor Khawarzada Amin, provided a comprehensive briefing to the former Prime Minister on the various educational, teaching, and research activities at the university. Sardar Tanveer Elias Khan expressed his appreciation for the university’s efforts in promoting education and research.

During the visit, Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan and his team unveiled plans for a groundbreaking mega project in the field of public health. The project aims to elevate the Health Services Academy to international standards through a robust public-private partnership. The former Prime Minister commended the vision and expressed his commitment to the success of this initiative.

In a generous gesture, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan announced a substantial donation of ten lakh rupees for the university’s Day Care Center, emphasizing the importance of holistic support for educational institutions.

To commemorate the occasion, Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan presented a shield to Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, expressing gratitude for his invaluable contribution and visionary approach towards enhancing public health infrastructure. The visit concluded with both parties expressing optimism for the future, as they formalized their commitment to work together in achieving new milestones for public health in the region.
