The Engineers Pakistan Decides to Contest PEC Elections Independently

Islamabad (TTE): In a significant move, The Engineers Pakistan (TEP) has announced its decision to contest the upcoming Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) elections independently, choosing to forego alliances with other groups. This decision was confirmed by TEP’s Secretary General, Engr Malik Saleem Ullah Saeed, who emphasized the organization’s commitment to maintaining its distinct identity and autonomy.

The core committee of TEP has decided to step into the election arena under the leadership of Group Chairman Engr Javed Saleem Qureshi, who will be their candidate for Chairman. Engr Malik Saleem Ullah Saeed stated, “The Engineers Pakistan will not form any alliances with other groups. Instead, we will contest the elections independently, staying true to our principles and identity.”

The announcement comes as TEP invites applications from engineers across Pakistan who are eager to participate in the PEC elections. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications by 5 PM on July 7. Engr Atif Sial, a member of TEP’s core committee, revealed that the committee will meticulously review the applications to form a robust panel of candidates.

“The Engineers Pakistan is fully prepared to participate in the elections with vigor and determination. We are confident in our ability to secure success in the PEC elections,” Atif Sial added.
