Chairman PEC Message on Quaid-e-Azam Day: A Call to the Engineers of Pakistan!

ISLAMABAD – On this auspicious day, the Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) pays his deepest respects to the great Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for his unparalleled leadership and the gift of a free homeland.
In remembering the Quaid’s vision for a modern state, the Chairman shared his profound words:

​”There is immediate and urgent need for training our people in scientific and technical education in order to build up our future economic life… we should see that our people undertake scientific commerce, trade and particularly, well-planned industries.”
— Message to the All Pakistan Educational Conference, Karachi, 27th November 1947
Chairman PEC emphasized the critical role of the engineering community in building a society. He said that wherever you look, you will find Engineering. He reiterated that national development is impossible without quality engineers. They must have strength of character, follow universal ethics, execute tasks with professional excellence, and hard work.

The Chairman’s message to the engineers is to endeavour for quality in every aspect of their professional conduct. To achieve excellence, we engineers, will have to step out of comfort zones. Only then we will be able to reach new horizons. We must also match the blitz of emerging technologies, for time waits for no one.
He concluded by urging all engineers to join hands and support PEC’s initiatives so that togather we take the lead in building a new and prosperous Pakistan.
