NEA Nominates Syed Qadir Shah as Chairman Candidate for PEC Election

Karachi (TTE: Engr Asghar Hayat) The National Engineers Association (NEA) has taken a significant step towards the upcoming Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) elections by announcing Engr. Syed Abdul Qadir Shah as their candidate for the position of Chairman. This decision, made unanimously by the NEA core committee held in Karachi.

Mohsin Ali Khan, Member of the Governing Body of the Pakistan Engineering Council and Leader of the NEA, confirmed the decision. He stated, “The National Engineers Association (NEA) has resolved to contest the PEC elections independently. Our full panel, which will include the Senior Vice Chairman, four Vice Chairmen, and all Governing Body members, will be announced shortly.”

The NEA is calling upon all engineers to support their candidates by casting their valuable votes in the PEC elections for the 2024-27 tenure. “Engineers are encouraged to support the NEA-backed candidates in the PEC elections,” added Mohsin Ali Khan, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective action for the future of the engineering community.

The PEC elections are scheduled for August 18, 2024. In the previous elections, the NEA was part of the Engineering Grand Alliance, which defeated The Engineers Pakistan and Professional Engineers groups.
